Paul E. DeLong

LEXINGTON: Paul Edward DeLong, age 88, passed away April 17, 2011 in Country Meadow Care Center.
He was born to Earl and Glenna (Beeman) DeLong on October 21, 1922 in Butler.
A longtime farmer in Morrow County, he retired from General Motors after 29 years. He attended the former Clear Fork Valley Wesleyan Church, currently Impact Worship Center.
Paul is survived by his wife of 68 years Ruth (Charles) DeLong of Lexington; son and daughter-in-law Paul E. Delong, Jr. and Mary DeLong of Lexington; two daughters Mary Ann DeLong of Marion and Margie (Colby Dyer) DeLong of Thompson; four granddaughters; seven great grandchildren; one great-great granddaughter; brother and sister-in-law Clifford and Jackie DeLong of Mansfield; sister-in-law Dorothy DeLong of Marion.
Along with his parents he was preceded in death by his five brothers: Jay, Donald, Frederick, Raymond, and Dale DeLong.
The DeLong family will receive friends Wednesday, April 20, 2011 from 5-7pm in the Lexington Avenue Snyder Funeral Home. Funeral services will be Thursday at 11am where the family will receive friends from 10-11am. Pastor Chris Radio will officiate, assisted by Pastor Mike Cloud. Burial will follow in Zion Four Corners Cemetery.
Memorial contributions to Impact Worship Center or Camp Sychar may be made at the funeral home.
