Paul David Bartley

July 08, 1961 ‒ September 25, 2015

Utica, Ohio

Paul David Bartley, age 54, of Utica, OH, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, September 25, 2015 on the family farm surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Bedford, OH, on July 8, 1961 to Walton W. and Betty (Holbrook) Bartley.

Paul worked at Ariel Corporation in the maintenance department and enjoyed his shift and co-workers. He loved farming and being on the farm. Paul was a do it yourself man and enjoyed fixing things around the farm. One of his greatest loves was going camping and being outdoors with his boys. He enjoyed sitting under the stars with a cold beverage. Paul enjoyed watching television shows such as Columbo and Hogan’s Heroes and many times would race home quickly to avoid missing one of them. Christmas was his favorite holiday and hanging lights was another way for Paul to show how much he enjoyed it. Most of all, Paul was a family man, proud of his two boys and loving his wife to no end.

He is survived by his loving wife, Beth Bartley; sons, Nathan and Zachary Bartley; brother, Dennis (Trudy) Bartley; two sisters, Peggy (Steve) Porter and Suzanne (Don) Townsend; brother-in-law, Scott (Rhonda) Noble; sister-in-law’s, Crystal Morris and LuAnn (Tim) McCauley; many nieces and nephews; and companions Sheba and Freeway.

Paul is preceded in death by his father, Walton Bartley and father-in-law, Dale Noble.

  • Beth, Nate and Zach,

We are so sorry for your tremendous loss. My girls also felt very badly. Paul was a wonderful son, husband and father to your whole family. We tried to come to calling hours last night, but were unsuccessful. Lines were too long. Beth, if you want to talk or see me, let me know. I am again so sorry.

  • Please accept my condolences at this most difficult time.
Since death came through a man, resurrection of the dead
also comes through a man. Just as in Adam all are dying,
so also in the CHRIST all will be made alive.
    Earthly Resurrection.
    ( 1 Corinthians 15:21,22).

  • Beth,Nate & Zac,
I am heart broken for the losses in our family. Paul was so much fun to be around. He made our camping trips to Mohican fun by playing games and helping Scott and Tim anchor the cousins human pyramid. He was such a great person to be around and was always so good to mom and dad. He helped make our family so very special. I will miss him so much but not as much as you will. Beth, you and Paul made being in love look so very easy. Not everyone gets to marry their soulmate and be like 2 young people truly loving each other through all life’s up and down. Paul loved you and his boys so very much. I am sure he , dad and Walt are having a good time in Heaven. I am always here for you and the boys anytime you need. I love you all with all my heart. Crystal
