Paul C. “P.C.” Jones, 91, of 758 Timberlane Drive, Galion, died Saturday, November 15, 2003 in Galion Community Hospital.

Born January 22, 1912 in Galion, he was the son of the late Samuel C. Jones and Ethel Reiling Jones.

He was a 1930 graduate of Galion High School and a life member of Galion Elks Lodge, #1191, life member of United Transportation Union in Cleveland, member of Galion Moose Lodge #303; Galion Eagles, Aerie #630 and Daughters of America.

He retired from New York Central Railroad in 1974 after 39 years, where he was a yard conductor for 25 years and the last 14 years as a yard master. He worked part time after his retirement at the Galion Inquirer from 1977 to present.

He is survived by several nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews and great-great nieces and nephews.

On March 5, 2000 he was preceded in death by his wife Coletta M. Coy Jones, whom he married on October 28, 1941, he is also preceded by one brother, James E. Jones and one sister Virginia A. Alpar.

Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, November 18 at Richardson-Davis Funeral Home where services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, November 19 with Rev. Ray Music officiating. Interment will be in Fairview Cemetery. An Elks Memorial Service will be held at 7 p.m. Tuesday during calling hours.
