Patrick “Pat” L. Belcher

Patrick “ Pat” L. Belcher, 70 of Sparta, died Wednesday morning May 12, 2010 at his residence surrounded by his family.
Born on August 31, 1939 in Fulton to the late Clarence “Ikey” and Edith (Burson) Belcher. US Army Veteran and a retired laborer for North Electric and most recently for Bry- Air in Sunbury retiring in 2004.
Pat enjoyed hunting deer, squirrel and pheasant, gardening, fishing and woodworking of all kinds, especially birdhouses and furniture. He was very outspoken, well liked, a good dad and enjoyed time spent with his family.
Survived by his loving wife of 50 years: Lillie (Conley) Belcher and they were married April 29, 1960 in Sparta; sons: Kevin (Peggy) , Philip (Rhonda) both of Cardington, Christopher of Sparta; daughters: Edith (Bill) Zornes of Chesterville, Mae Bethany Belcher of Sparta; 13 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren; sisters: Jeanette (Howard) Saunders of Marengo, Deloris (John) white of Marion, Kay (Richard) Nichols of Centerburg.
Preceded in death by brother: James Belcher.
Friends may call Friday from 5-8 p.m. at the DeVore-Snyder Funeral Home, 73 Walnut, Marengo where services will be held Saturday 11 a.m. with Pastor David Keefer officiating. Interment will follow in the Bloomfield Cemetery.
