Patricia “Patty” Collins, age 71, of Sunbury, died unexpected on Tuesday, April 21, 2020 at St. Ann’s Hospital.  Retired Shipping and Receiving Clerk for Bry-Air.

Born October 24, 1948 in Westerville to the late George C. and Juanita (Kise) Basham.

Patty attended Big Walnut High School, enjoyed hunting, fishing and cooking.  She mostly enjoyed time with family, especially her grandkids, “the joys of her life”.

In addition to her parents Patricia was preceded in death by brother-in-law, George McDonald.

Survived by loving husband of 56 years, Henry G. Collins; devoted daughter and son-in-law, Katie and Jerry Williams of Sunbury; sisters, Debra McDonald of Delaware, Mary Jane (Roger) White of Martinsburg; brother, Fred (Judy) Basham of Myrtle Beach; grandchildren, Daniel (Jodie) Williams, Matthew and Kristie Williams, Ashley and Jason Hall; great-grandchildren, Brandon, Abby, Luke, James, Bri, Melody, Summer, Alaina and Maiya; sister-in-law, Helen Blevins of Delaware.

Private family service followed by interment in Cheshire Cemetery.

  • To all of Patty’s family, I was heartbroken when I talked to Sheila the other day and she told me of Patty’s passing. She was such a sweet, fun loving lady. There was never a dull moment playing Euchre with Patty and Henry and the White family gatherings. Prayers to Henry and Kaye and the entire family during this difficult time. I am sending virtual hugs. Love you all!

We didn’t see each other much after high school, but when we got together at school reunions and special times in Sunbury, our friendship and connection was always Strong. Patty will forever be in our hearts!
