Patricia Marie Blevins

May 24, 1968 ‒ May 13, 2020

Marion, Ohio

Patricia Marie “Patty” Blevins, age 51, of Marion, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, May 13, 2020 at Marion General Hospital.

Patty was born in Kenton, Ohio on May 24, 1968 to Paul E. and Barbara (Broughton) Douglas. Patty grew up in Richwood and Marion and attended Marion City School.

Patty was a loving, mother, wife, and grandmother.  She married the love of her life, James E. Blevins on August 1, 1986 in Marion and the two have been inseparable.  Never missing an opportunity to spend time with her three children or four grandchildren, Patty hosted big family meals.  When she wasn’t cooking for her family, Patty could be found competitively playing BINGO and beating everyone at Poker.

Having a green thumb, Patty loved to spend time in her garden watching her willow tree flower and grow.  Patty and her best-friend, Ruthann Friley, were always on the hunt for a bargain at Walmart and Kohl’s and with her heart of gold, Patty made sure everyone always had a new outfit.

Patty will be missed by her mother, Barbara Douglas; husband, James; children, Amanda (Nicholas) Marquis, James Paul Blevins, and Joanna (Michael Keeney) Blevins all of Marion, grandchildren, Schyler, Winter, and Talon Marquis; siblings, Tami Pickens, Paula Douglas, and Jake (Shirley) Douglas; along with countless nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Patty was preceded in death by her father, Paul; brother, Johnny Douglas; and grandson, Michael Curtis Keeney III.

Visitation will be held at Snyder Funeral Homes, Denzer Chapel (360 E. Center St.) Monday, May 18, 2020 from 10 until 12 noon.  Private family services will be held at the funeral home and burial will follow at Grand Prairie Cemetery; Patty’s son-in-law, Nicholas Marquis will officiate.

Memorial donation may be made in Patty’s honor to the family.
