Patricia Margaret Fesenmyer

April 20, 1925 ‒ October 14, 2014

Delaware, Ohio

Patricia Margaret (Zuilkoski) Fesenmyer, 89, beloved mom, grandma and great-grandma, passed away peacefully into the arms of Jesus on Tuesday, October 14, 2014 in Delaware, OH after a brief illness.
She was born on April 20, 1925 in Oil City, PA to Stephen and Catherine Zuilkoski.
After graduating from high school, she attended the College of Nursing at the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia. She married the love of her life, Bob, on May 19, 1947. While she was busy raising her family, she also worked in a variety of nursing positions, but her favorite thing to do was to work with new mothers and babies. After retiring to Hayesville, NC, Bob and Pat were active at Immaculate Heart of Mary Church and volunteered for Meal on Wheels, Clay County Food Pantry and Granny’s Attic. Throughout their lives, they lived in many places and because of that, Pat was always open to new friendships. It was often said of her that she never met a stranger. Pat was a 26-year breast cancer survivor and inspired others to live life to the fullest. Pat loved her family, her faith, and in recent years, the music at St. Christopher Church.
She will be missed by her children Michael (Terry) Fesenmyer of Delaware, OH and children Timothy (Betsey), Thomas (Pam) and Tracy; Robert (Susan) Fesenmyer of Holland, OH and children Kurt (Sarah) and Corey (Luke); William Fesenmyer of Lafayette, CO; Marc (Mira) Fesenmyer of Athens, OH and children Miranda and Alexander (Jenny); Catherine (Mark) Voris of Columbus, OH and children Samantha and Gabrielle; Patricia (Douglas) Swanger of Hudson, WI and children Jennifer (Andrew), Kristin and Kyle; great-grandchildren Cate, Grant, Elsa, Robert, Zoey, Kaya, and Liam; two brothers Ronald Zuilkoski of Camarillo, CA and John Zuilkoski of Tampa, FL; several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a sister Dolores Graner and a brother Stephen Zuilkoski.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, October 18th from 9:00 – 10:00 am followed by a memorial mass at 10:00 am at St. Mary Catholic Church, 82 E. William St., Delaware, OH with Rev. Fr. Michael Watson and Rev. Msgr. John Cody officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
