Patricia I. Cummins, age 69, of Ashley passed away Sunday afternoon in the emergency room at Grady Memorial Hospital. She was born May 30, 1940 in Fairborn, OH to Vernon and Melissa (Sutton) Rhoden. A resident of the Ashley community since 1957, she attended White Lily Chapel and worked as a dental assistant for a number of area dentists. She was a 24-year member of the Village Council of Ashley, serving as its president and holding other offices. She was a past Grand Chief of the state of Ohio & 54-year member of the Pythian Sisters, and served as their Supreme Representative. She enjoyed and was very talented at knitting and crocheting. After the death of her daughter Yolanda, she became active with a grief support group called the Compassionate Friends. She was always very supportive of her family and especially enjoyed time with her grandchildren. She is survived by her husband Donald, of 53 years; a son Michael (Julie) of Kalispell, Montana; 4 grandchildren Nicholas & Benjamin Frentsos, Sarah Cummins, and Kyle Morehead; a sister Jacqueline Bridges of Port Orange, FL; and a brother Ricky Rhoden of Charleston, SC. She was preceded in death by her daughter Yolanda Morehead, a brother Paul Thomas, and her parents. Friends will be received at the Rodman Neeper Funeral Home in Ashley on Thursday from 2:00 – 4:00 & 6:00 – 8:00 PM with the Pythian Sisters holding a service at 8:00 PM. Funeral Services will be on Friday at 1:00 PM with Rev. Cindy Berkshire officiating. Interment will follow in Ashley Union Cemetery. Condolences may be expressed by visiting
