Pamela K. Ellsworth McCall
September 19, 1957 ‒ July 01, 2006
MANSFIELD: Pamela K. Ellsworth McCall, 48, of Florence Avenue, Mansfield, died Saturday evening July 1, 2006 in Winchester Terrace surrounded by family, friends and co-workers.
Now alive with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, Pam fought a courageous battle against cancer.
She was born September 19, 1957 in Mansfield to Jack and Betty Ellsworth, and was graduated from Madison Comprehensive High School in 1976.
A lifelong Mansfield resident, Pam worked as a dietary aide for more than five years with Winchester Terrace, and prior to that many years at The Leaning Tower of Pizza.
Described as a hard worker, who was selfless and giving, Pam genuinely loved to love people. She found great joy in the simplicity of life: family time, a shared smile, a garage sale.
To Pam, life wasn’t about her…it was about others, and how she could live her life to benefit them.
In spite of seemingly insurmountable personal and health obstacles, Pam persevered, working full time.
She is survived by her husband Randy McCall, whom she married April 9, 1976; daughter and son-in-law Jenny and Ben Kauffman of Lexington, son James McCall of Mansfield, daughter Jessica McCall of Lexington; three grandchildren Alyssa, Kaitlyn and Hannah Kauffman; her parents Jack and Betty Ellsworth of Mansfield; two brothers Robert Ellsworth and David Ellsworth both of Mansfield.
The family will receive friends Thursday, July 6, 2006 from Noon to 2 and 4-6 pm in the Lexington Avenue Snyder Funeral Home, where the funeral service will follow at 6 pm. The Rev. Bruce Philippi will officiate.
Memorial contributions to the Pamela K. McCall Memorial Fund may be made at the funeral home.
