March 17, 1952 ‒ January 22, 2014
Pam Fryman, age 61, of Marengo, passed away Wednesday, January 22, 2014 at Riverside Methodist Hospital. She was born March 17, 1952, in Delaware, to the late Lafe A. and Patricia A. (Rouse) Frazier.
A 1970 graduate of Buckeye Valley, Pam went on to marry the love of her life, James Fryman a week after graduation. They moved to Marengo in 1975 and raised their two children. In addition to being a homemaker, Pam briefly worked as a cook for the Highland Local Schools and in the kitchen at the Farmstead.
Described as the “Queen of Cheap,” Pam was known for being frugal when it came to spending; however, she always had money to play the slots. She enjoyed the casinos, traveling to Colorado and camping with the “camping Group” in Cardington. In her spare time, Pam liked reading and watching Country Family Reunion on video. An incredible cook, she especially loved making desserts.
Not afraid to tell it like it was, Pam was a Matter-of-Fact kind of woman who relished her time spent with her family and grandchildren.
She is survived by her husband, James L. Fryman of Marengo; son, Jason L. (Michele) Fryman of Edison; daughter, Mindy Fryman of Fayetteville, GA; sister, Cathy E. (Bing) Dickason of Kannapolis, NC and grandchildren: Austin, Ashlyn, Wyatt and Piper Fryman, all of Edison.
Friends may call 2 – 5 pm Sunday, January 26, 2014 at the DeVore-Snyder Funeral Home, SR’s 3 at 61, Sunbury, where services will be 11:00 a.m. on Monday with Pastor T. J. McNew officiating. Interment will follow in Marengo Cemetery.
