Oliver S. Barnett, 89, of 298 Mansfield Street, Galion, died Monday, April 11, 2005 at Village Care Center in Galion after an extended illness.
Born May 3, 1915 in Belfast, VA, he was the son of the late William Barnett and Fonnie Breedlove Barnett. He was preceded in death on March 31, 1995 by his wife, Eula Mills Barnett. He was previously married to Lila F. Barnett and she preceded him in death.
He was a press operator at the former Perfection-Cobey Manufacturing in Galion retiring after 47 years.
He is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Raymond and Donna Barnett of Galion, a daughter and son-in-law, Irene and Raymond Morris, of Galion; nine grandchildren, Michael Lawson, Christopher Barnett, Stephanie Romona, Andrea Wildenthaler, Matthew Barnett, Kirk Barnett, Joshua Barnett, Lee Tanner, Rita Kalb; 16 great grandchildren; four step grandchildren; 22 step great grandchildren; one step great-great grandson, a sister, Eileen Scheilder of Galion, two brothers and a sister-in-law, Earl Barnett of Columbus and Herman and Frances Barnett of Mt. Gilead, a sister-in-law, Helen Barnett of Galion.
He was preceded in death by two brothers and three sisters.
A Graveside Service will be held at Crawford County Memory Gardens at 10 a.m. Thursday, April 14, 2005 with Rev. Bill Pavuk officiating.
