May Kaser, age 99, of Coshocton Road, Mount Vernon, passed away on Saturday, December 8, 2007 at the Country Court Nursing Home. She was born on May 5, 1908 in Knox County to the late George and Ivy (Dunn) Sellers. May was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary and the South Vernon United Methodist Church both of Mount Vernon. She served 38 years as a 4H advisor for the Willing Winning Workers.
She is survived by her daughter Alice Gray of Mount Vernon; nine grandchildren, Lloyd (Deb) Bryant of Howard, Diane (Keith) Welch of Apopka, Florida, John (Cathy) Goeppinger of Mount Vernon, Kathy Lester of Mount Vernon, Ken (Patty) Goeppinger of Fredericktown, Greg (Barb) Van Houten of Fredericktown, Steve (Chris) Goeppinger of Fredericktown, Tom (Rhonda) Goeppinger of Fredericktown and Beth (Scott) Thompson of Fredericktown; fifteen great grandchildren; and seven great-great grandchildren.
Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Charles “Doc” Kaser, a daughter Phyllis Goeppinger and a granddaughter Molly Bryant.
Friends may call on Tuesday from 4 PM to 7 PM at the Flowers-Snyder Funeral Home in Mount Vernon where a funeral service will be held on Wednesday at 1 PM. Rev. Gary Campbell and Rev. Robert Alexander will be officiating. Burial will follow in St. Johns Cemetery in Mount Vernon.
