SHELBY: Northern Isaac, Jr., 72, of Shelby passed away Friday, January 13, 2017 in OhioHealth Mansfield Hospital.

The son of Northern and Zella (Breeding) Isaac, Northern was born March 26, 1944 in Hall, Kentucky.

He was retired from MTD.

He is survived by his children Zaneta Mae (Daniel) Craft, and Northern Isaac III (Angela); grandchildren Brandon David Baker, Calvin Ray (Erika) Baker, Amber Mae (Brent) Shepherd, Crystal Lynn Roese (Dustin) Stausbaugh, Cory Allen Isaac, Lance Jay Isaac, Brenden Hall Isaac, Josh and Chris Murphy; great grandsons Remington Jay Isaac and David Thomas Shepherd.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

The Lexington Avenue Snyder Funeral Home is assisting the Isaac family with services.  Funeral services will be held through Nelson Frazier Funeral Home in Martin, Kentucky.

  • Northern, you had such spunk, a smile that was contagiously cheery and always had something wise to say that I could take with me to pass on to my kids, but the wise always do. I will never forget your gardens and what you did to get the greatest yield. Thank you for showing and teaching my kids valuable life skills; for a kid like flying a kite what a lasting memory. Being who you were with your since of humor and your stories, a amazing friend, father, grand father and great grandfather you will be missed and forever loved 🙏

  • I am so sorry for your loss…we had a lot of fun. Times this last summer while he was helping us with the house sure gonna miss the phone calls and the talks.

When I looked at you I could see your dad/my Papaw according to his pictures that is because he passed away before I was born May he RIP. There will never be another as special as you in my heart.   • So sorry to hear of the passing of my good friend from childhood. So many good memories of those early years as we walked up Arnold Fork selling candy bars as a school project. R I P my friend.

  • I do not personally know Northern but have heard the Northern Isaac family spoken of often. I am a great granddaughter of Spencer Isaac of Hall Kentucky. Sorry for your loss.
