Norman L. “Norm” Miller

Norman L. “Norm” Miller, age 56 of Delaware died at home Monday, January 25, 2010 surrounded by his family and friends.
He was born on July 12, 1953 in Washington C.H. to the late Benjamin Miller and Helen (Hux) Miller of London. A graduate of Madison South High School in 1971, Norm became an avid horse trainer and horseman. He was the farm manager and horse trainer of Crown Stables in Long Island, New York before returning to Ohio.
Moving to Ashley in 1995, he owned and operated Circle M Farm. He looked forward to work and for the past 10 years he had also been employed as a fork lift operator for Cardington Yutaka Technology’s Inc.
A true outdoorsman, he enjoyed fishing, hunting deer, and the peacefulness of the woodlands. He was also a sports enthusiast of all sports. During baseball season he followed the Cleveland Indians, football season the Minnesota Vikings, every sport of the beloved OSU Buckeyes, as well as basketball and the NASCAR circuit. In addition to horses, he treasured his 1976 canary yellow Corvette.
A jokester at times, he was always helpful and loving, even though at times stern. He will be remembered as a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and skilled horse trainer.
In addition to his mother he is also survived by his wife: Rebecca “Becky” Nelson Miller whom he married October 31, 2008, daughter: Marci Miller of Marion, step-daughter: Lyndsey Nelson of Delaware, 3 Grandchildren: Spencer, Keyonna, Breana, Brother: Dennis (Cindy) Miller of Detroit, Michigan, Sister: Diane (Mike) Miller of London, Niece: Marybeth (Brian) Zook, Nephew: David Miller both of Detroit, MI, Parents-in-law: Ronald & Sondra Sparks, Brother-in-law: Ronnie Sparks all of Ashley, Aunts, Uncles, Cousins, and special friends: Ryan & Aaron “The Bulls” Gepper.
In addition to his father he was preceded in death by an infant brother Steven and dear friend Fred Caudy.
Friends may call Thursday 5-8 p.m. at DeVore-Snyder Funeral Home, 75 W. William St. (SR 36), Delaware, where services will be held Friday 1:30 p.m. with his cousin Rev. Earl Ralph Hux officiating, interment will follow in Ashley Union Cemetery.
