BELLVILLE: Norma Jean Wolfgang, 85, passed away Friday morning, January 30, 2015 in Country Meadow Care Center.

The daughter of Russell and Beatrice (Cairns) Walker, Norma Jean was born December 17, 1929 in Mansfield.  On November 27, 1947 she married Albert F. Wolfgang Jr.

A wonderful cook, Norma Jean loved preparing meals for her family.  Family favorites included butterscotch cookies and homemade pies.  She enjoyed embroidery and knitting. Norma Jean loved to study and learn of her family’s history.

She was a member of New Life Church of Christ and attended Impact Worship Center.  Norma Jean was a member of the Fun and Friendship Club and Bellville Historical Society.

She is survived by her daughter Debbie (Dan) Smith of Butler, daughter-in-law Becky (Joe) Crock of Louisville; grandchildren Eric (Dawn) Wolfgang and Jenni (Joe) Moffett all of Bellville; step grandchildren Travis Smith and Danelle Smith all of Bellville; ten great grandchildren; 3 step great-great grandchildren; siblings Rodney “Top” (Martha) Walker, Dana Robinson, Ida Mae Ocheltree, Ronald “Butch” (Ellen) Walker, Maurine (Jim) Walters, and William Walker all of Bellville; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and extended family.

Along with her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Albert F. Wolfgang Jr.; son Thomas F. Wolfgang; siblings Jack Walker, Lois Ann Gaddis, and Mary Alice Snavely.

The family will receive friends Monday, February 2, 2015 from 4-7 pm in the Bellville Snyder Funeral Home where funeral services will be held Tuesday at 11 am.  Norma Jean’s grandson Eric Wolfgang will officiate and burial will follow in Bellville Cemetery.

Memorial contributions to the Bellville Jefferson Township Rescue Squad or Hospice of North Central Ohio may be made through the funeral home.
