Norma Jean Tracht, 90, of Galion passed away, Sunday November 9, 2014.

She was born June 17, 1924 in Shelbyville, Ind. and was the daughter of George F. and Glena O. (Hawkins) King. On June 16, 1945 she married George E. Tracht and he preceded her in death February 4, 1995.

Norma Jean was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She was a member of the First United Church of Christ in Galion and the former Galion Emblem Club.

Norma Jean is survived by a daughter Gretchen (David) Burdett of Galion; grandchildren Chad Burdett, Angela (Curt) Young; great-grandchildren Anna, Mitchell and Hailey Young.

In addition to her parents and her husband, she is preceded in death by a sister Charlotte Cain and brother Justin King.

The family will receive friends from 10:00 to 11:00 am on Wednesday, November 12, 2014 at Snyder Funeral Home Richardson Davis Chapel, 218 South Market St., Galion, Ohio 44833 where services will be held at 11:00 am with Rev. Darrin Harvey officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to the First United Church of Christ Memorial Endowment Fund in care of the funeral home.
