  • My thoughts and prayers are with the Remillard family I look him up on Facebook and he seemed like a very sweet person I am truly sorry for your loss!

  • He carried a smerk that would bring a smile to your face instantly. Or maybe it was his sappy jokes following the random things that came outa his mouth. Nicky always kept you on your feet you never knew what he was going to say next. I’ll always remember how he was there for me at a time when I didn’t have many people to call friends. He always wanted to cheer me up when I was feeling gloomy. As you live you sometimes gain distance from others in life. Nicky was telling me about how he’s heading to Florida soon to live with complete bliss. We didn’t talk as much anymore. But the conversations you have w him are always something to remember. He would touch your heart with words. He was a person that is “only a call away” and would help you as best as he can. There aren’t many people like nicky in this world. His heart is so good, his soul will forever live within all our hearts. Because nicky taught many how to love and live life with nothing but happiness. There are millions of people on this earth but in nicks case he will be one to forever stand out. Rest easy nicky, much love goes to you and your family. You’ll always carry a piece of my mind. ❤️

  • I am so very sorry for your loss. Losing a love one too soon is very devastating. the Bible reminds us that Almighty god is “Close to those who are broken at heart. he saves those who are crushed n spirit” (Psalm 34:18)

  • Mel & family: There are no words to express the deep sympathy and pain I have carried for you and your family over the past week. I don’t know why bad things happen to good people but fully believe that it is through Christ and the love and support of your friends and community that you will find your way through this and keep Nick’s spirit alive. God will never leave you. Each of us has a numbered amount of days to spend here on earth and we never know when it will be our last. One thing for sure Mel is that you showed your love and support of Nick while God entrusted you with his care. You were that mom in the bleachers no matter what and always the team mom! Giving and loving are two of the main words that describe you and Nick’s time here was blessed because of you! Hugs and love…..and I am here for you.

  • Dear Mel and family,

I had never met Nick, but the stories of his life and the man he was, make me wish I had. I know you were immensely proud of him. I hope you can find some comfort in how he touched other’s lives and the wonderful respect people have for him. Lisa and I send our deepest condolences.

    Your friend,
    Dave

  • Melanie, Matt and Andy, my heart is broken for you. May God hold you and keep you in his loving arms, why you try to heal from this terrible tragedy. You are in my prayers and I feel Nick is with his dad and taking care of all the dogs. Let your wonderful memories keep Nick alive.

  • As I did not get to know Nick as a young man that he grew so handsomely into, I did have the privilege of knowing him as a baby boy. He would most definitely light up any room with that most wonderful ear to ear smile of his! Nick was such a wonderful happy boy and I’ll tell ya his laugh was one of a kind too. Melanie, Andy, and Matt my heart breaks for you, he was taken way to soon and he will be missed by a multitude of friends and family. I mean as a baby boy to light up the room so bright with his happiness and larger than life smile, it is forever etched in my mind and I have never forgotten what a beautiful wonderful little person he was. I’m absolutely sure his beautiful spirit will live forever with the unconditional love of that beautiful baby boy with that awsome smile that touched my heart and also many of my family’s hearts as well. I am truly and deeply glad that, although he was just a baby boy at the time, I had the privilege of knowing him. So very sorry for your loss. He is always smiling by your side!

  • There is one less smile to brighten our little corner of the world, but another star in the heavens. I watched Nick grow up and was always struck by his smile and friendliness to everyone. It is no surprise to learn of his love for dogs, and heart to care for them. Mel, I will not pretend to understand your pain, but years ago you said to another grieving soul that Butch was looking down on us, know that through the grace of our Father, precious Nick has joined him.

  • When the team was down you could say nick lets go get something going. He would say ok coach. He would get the team fired up.he didn’t like to lose but when they did it was ok nick said so.Thinking about you every day

  • Melanie, Sally Parsons, and Remillard Family ,
Your family is in our thoughts during this difficult time in your lives. May you find comfort in remembering someone so special.

  • I had Nick in school in Mount Vernon. He was a typical, ornery boy, but serious about his school work and always polite. When I saw the story, I immediately remembered his snappy, dark eyes and mischievous smile. He was a friend to all and I am so sorry for your loss. God bless your family.

  • To Mel, Sally Parsons, and the entire Remillard family: Our thoughts and prayers are with you at this extremely sad and difficult time. Nick always made everyone smile. With heartfelt sympathy and Love to you all.
