Nicholas W. “Nic” Fletcher

September 21, 1979 ‒ May 19, 2016

Sunbury, Ohio

Nicholas William Fletcher age 36 of Sunbury passed away Thursday morning May 19, 2016 at his home

He was born September 21, 1979 in Columbus the beloved son of Melissa and Thomas Fletcher, brother of Emily Fletcher, father to Brantley Austin Fletcher, 3 yrs., and uncle to Carter Lee Webb, 5 yrs. Taken suddenly and too soon to his maker, he will be sadly missed by family and many longtime friends. Lifelong resident of Delaware County and former employee of Decker Construction, Columbus, “Nic” was a devoted employee and family man, wishing only to bring a full and interesting life to his beloved son, “Bubba”. Nic’s life was changed forever in July of 2014 when he was injured in a traumatic ATV accident leaving him quadriplegic. Through his hard and painful days towards recovery he never abandoned the spirit of hope that he would one day be mobile again and back to a full, active life. In the interim his best days were always the ones he spent with his son.

Nicholas was an avid fan of all sports, camping and hunting, studying old maps, coins and stamps, historical books, and exploring family genealogy. He also lived and loved all things country, especially country music and farm life. He was a 1997 graduate of Olentangy High and attended Ohio State Marion. Nicholas is pre-ceded in death by his beloved family members, Maternal Grandparents “Lil Nana” B and “Poppy Bill” Brueggeman, his Cousin Billy Brueggeman, his Aunt Mary(Brueggeman), his Aunts Judi and Janet Orr, and Fraternal Grandparents Katie and Bill Kuhn. He will surely at last find his legs work again in the place he now goes to in joining his heavenly family. We will sorely miss him on every day in the future and work hard to fulfill his legacy for his dear son, Brantley.

Friends may call Tuesday May 24, 2016 from 5-7:30 p.m. with a prayer service at 7:30 p.m. at the DeVore-Snyder Funeral Home, SR 3 at 61, Sunbury, Ohio  43074. Graveside inurnment services will be held Thursday in the Sunbury Memorial Park at 11 a.m.
