Naomi M. Allenbaugh, age 97, Born June 15, 1908 and died Saturday, February 18, 2006 in Delaware.

Preceded in death by her Mother; Gertrude and Step-father: Frank Depler.

Emeritus Professor, with The Ohio State University, her teaching career began in the public and private schools, K-12 and ended working with undergraduate and graduate students.

She was active in her professional organizations; The American Alliance for Health, Physical Education, Recreation and Dance. She was an elected officer in the State, Mid-West District and National Associations. She was the recipient of many honor awards in each of the associations.

She had received numerous honors including The Ohio State University Alumni Distinguished Teaching Award in 1974, National Association for Sport and Physical Education Joy of Effort Award and the Distinguished Service Award from the Council on Physical Education of Children, and was recognized by The Ohio State University Mortar Board National College Senior Honor Society. She was inducted into the University College of Education Hall of Fame in 1988.

A private memorial service will be conducted at a later date. Arrangements have been entrusted to the DeVore-Snyder Funeral Home in Delaware.
