Nancy Lynn Jones, age 60, of Mount Vernon passed away on Wednesday, October 26, 2016 at the Knox Community Hospital.

She was born on September 8, 1956 in Wichita, Kansas to Lewis Jones and Shirley Mae (Smith) Tucker. Nancy attended the Licking County Starlight School and was employed at New Hope Industries. She was a member of the Four Square Gospel Church.

She is survived by her mother Shirley Mae Tucker; her step mother Patricia Jones; her brother Brian (Jeanette) Jones; her sisters Jennifer (Tim) Houck, Penny (David) Correno; her step brother David (Carolyn) McCoy; three step sisters, Mary Jane (Tom) Hasenzahl, Carole Miller, and Linda (Glen) Story; her special friend Russell Seitter and numerous nieces and nephews.

Nancy was preceded in death by her father Lewis Jones and her brother John Jones.

Friends may call on Saturday, October 29, 2016 from 12:00 – 1:00 PM at the Dowds-Snyder Funeral Home. A service will follow beginning at 1:00 PM with Pastor Jerry Morgan officiating. Burial will take place in Mount Vernon Memorial Gardens Cemetery.

    Nancy was blessed to have had two moms. One mom was my sister Patty who gave a lot of love and constant support to Nancy over the years. Nancy loved to go to church followed by Sunday dinner at McDonald’s.
