Nancy Jane Davis, age 68, of Utica passed away unexpectedly at her home on Tuesday, April 23, 2019.

She was born on June 8, 1950 in Columbus, Ohio to the late Edwin and Millie (Ford) Ferbrache.  Nancy was employed at The Limited in Columbus for nearly 15 years.  She enjoyed riding on the back of her husband’s motorcycle and wearing Tie Dye.  But most of all, Nancy loved the time she spent with her children, grandchildren, extended family and her feline and canine companions.

She is survived by her husband Thomas Davis; her sons, Aric Shockley, Todd Shockley; step-son Eric (Melanie) Davis; her step-daughter Gretchen (Doug) Hawk; her granddaughter Kate; her step-grandchildren,  Jason, Ethan, Cooper, Callaway, Garrett, Erica and Madison; numerous great grandchildren; her sister Linda Cash; and her brothers, Jerry (Cathy) Ferbrache, Ed Ferbrache and Jim Ferbrache.

In addition to her parents, Nancy was preceded in death by her step-son Brent Davis.

The family will have a memorial gathering at the family home (18640 Upper Fredericktown-Amity Rd. Fredericktown, Ohio 43019) on Saturday, April 27, 2019 beginning at 2PM.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Knox County Humane Society.

I have many fond memories of Nancy and Tom and the fun-loving, comedic outlook they both have/had on life.   • I’ve known Nancy for many years. She was a very good friend of my sister. I always looked forward in getting letters from her when I was in boot camp. When I would come hone on leave from the service, we would go out on dates. She will be sadly missed.

  • After I got out of the service, Nancy became the wife of best friend, Steve. I married Linda a few months later. Steve and Nancy had two fine boys, and we had a daughter. Our two families got together very often and had many good times together. I can remember Nancy as being a good wife and mother.

  • Condolences to Nancy’s loved ones. My ex-husband and I spent many fun times together with her. She was always easy to be around and up for an adventure. I enjoyed seeing her postings on Facebook showing her love for motorcycles and country living. Rest In Peace friend.

  • Nancy and I were married for almost 25 years. Had two wonderful sons Aric and Todd.
    Most of the years were very rewarding and fun. They both love their Mother dearly and Todd has a daughter, Kate Elise Shockley 16, who also loved grandma Nancy.
