Nancy C. Cline, age 78, of Mount Vernon, Ohio, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Sunday, December 9, 2018. She was born on August 10, 1940 in Mount Vernon, Ohio the daughter of Robert and Virginia (Wright) Seavolt.  Nancy earned her degree in Early Childhood Education from North Central Technical College.  She previously worked for Knox County Head Start, IGA and also served as an independent consultant with Avon where she was a member of the Presidents Club.

Nancy prided herself in being a witness for the Lord.  She has made several missionary trips to foreign countries to help work and witness to others.  Shoebox Ministries was extremely important to Nancy and she enjoyed the companionship and fellowship she created with others over the years.

She previously served as a 4-H advisor for the Monroe Eager Beavers and sang in the Knox County Cantata.  Nancy was a member of the Knox County Pork Council and First Church of the Nazarene.

She is survived by her two sons; Joseph Cline of Mount Vernon and James (Roberta) Cline of Mount Vernon; two grandchildren, Willie Cline and Mackenzie Keffalas; a great granddaughter, Catherine Keffalas; four sisters, Louise Yocum of Mount Vernon, Rose (Randy) Hurlow of Mount Vernon, Loretta Mae (Julie Dillon) Williamson of Howard, Phyllis Seavolt of Newark and many nieces and nephews.

Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Ralph Cline and two brothers; Ray Seavolt and Paul Seavolt.

Friends may call on Wednesday from 4 to 8 p.m. at the Dowds-Snyder Funeral Home, 201 Newark Road, Mount Vernon, Ohio.  A funeral service will be held on Thursday beginning at 11 a.m. at the First Church of the Nazarene, 807 Coshocton Road, Mount Vernon, Ohio 43050.  Rev. Russ Gumm will be officiating.  Burial will follow in Mount Vernon Memorial Gardens.

  • So sorry for your loss. Nancy was one of my favorite patients to care for. Even though she was in a lot of pain she always had a smile for those caring for her. She brightened many of my days with that smile and let me know in her own way that I was appreciated. She will be missed. I hope those that loved her will have some peace knowing that her pain is gone and she is with God now.

    Skip and I have many memories of Nancy and Ralph at our early Porrkette days we always had a good time and many laughs at our Christmas Parties and beyond, Nancy was a very special Lady and will be missed by many.
