Nancy A. Walker, age 79, of Fredericktown, Ohio, passed away on Tuesday, September 19, 2017 at Knox Community Hospital in Mount Vernon. She was born on July 31, 1938 in Mansfield, Ohio the daughter of Earnest and Helen (McGinney) Henry. Nancy was a simple lady that enjoyed working in the garden and caring for her flowers and vegetables. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother that will be sadly missed by her family and many friends.

She is survived by her husband of 61 years, Glenn Walker; her son, Glenn (Ellen) Walker Jr. of Mansfield; a daughter, Judy Hickman of Marion; three grandchildren, Melissa Carpenter, Don Blankenship, James Blankenship and several great grandchildren.

Besides her parents she was preceded in death by a brother, Dick Henry and two sisters, Jean Coe and Dorothy Gruneisen.

Friends may call on Friday from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Snyder Funeral Home in Fredericktown, 33 E. College Street, Fredericktown, Ohio 43019. The family will observe a private funeral service and burial in Forest Cemetery in Fredericktown.

Memorial contributions in Nancy’s name may be made to the Palliative Care Unit of Knox Community Hospital, 1330 Coshocton Road, Mount Vernon, Ohio 43050.

    So sorry to hear of Nancy’s passing! I have great memories of growing up with your family on Gregg Road. Nancy was a spunky and fun lady to be around and I remember her wit and her ornery grin!
