Myrtle M. Fulkerson

Myrtle M. Fulkerson, 85, of 1270 East Walnut Street, Galion, died Wednesday, November 12, 2003 in Rosewood Manor Nursing Center in Galion. She has been in failing health for about a month.

Born August 17, 1918 in Iberia, she was the daughter of the late Mark Hindman and Grace Curtis Hindman.

She was a graduate of Iberia High School in 1938 and a former member of Iberia United Methodist Church and St. Mark United Methodist Church.

She was a great cook and enjoyed gardening, fishing, crafts and going to the Smokey Mountains. Myrtle worked many years at North Electric Co., Galion and retired from Essex Wire in Lexington.

She is survived by her husband Gerald E. “Shorty” Fulkerson whom she married June 22, 1941, a daughter, Barbara Fulkerson, of Bucyrus, a son, David W. Fulkerson and a daughter-in-law, Judy Fulkerson, both of Galion, two grandchildren, Regina Miller, of Alexandria, Va. and Jeremy Fulkerson, of Galion, a great-grandson, Christopher Miller, two sisters-in-law, Rosella Spears of Portsmouth and Jean Avola, of Orlando, Fla.; a brother-in-law and sister-in-law,
David C. and Virginia Fulkerson, of Galion, a niece, Grace Morgan, of Miami, Fla.; and a nephew, Samuel Hindman, of Lexington, Ky.

She was preceded in death by a son, Richard Fulkerson; and three brothers Roy, James and Richard Hindman.

Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. Friday, November 14, at Richardson-Davis Funeral Home where services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, November 15 with Rev. Dreama Caudill officiating. Interment will be in Fairview Cemetery.
