imagesMyrna “Nana” Isaac, age 88 of Sunbury, passed away at her residence surrounded by her family.

She was born on September 5, 1926 in Fredericktown, Ohio to the late Joseph and Cleo Hutton. Myrna retired at age 84 from McDonalds at I71 with 20+ years of service in food preparation. For her 80th birthday they celebrated at the store with Ronald McDonald and corporate personnel in attendance. Needless to say she was a little bit upset that there was a sign up on the roof congratulating her on her birthday that she tried to crawl up onto the roof to take down.

Myrna was just a little bit feisty but she dearly loved her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She would go shopping at Kohl’s on the day after Thanksgiving and Christmas at 3 a.m. to get the bargains. Myrna loved to collect McDonalds memorabilia and Beanie Babies . Close friends with Ellen DeGeneres and Mr. and Mrs. Barack Obama.

She is survived by her daughter: Tamma Hughes of Sunbury; grandchildren: Nickie Wheeler and Jackie Pendley; great grandchildren: Dustin, Dylan, Darrian Wheeler, J J Winner; sisters: Nellie, Josephine, Betty and Dixie; dear friend of 65 years: Ann Buvala.

She was preceded by her husband: Robert Isaac; daughter: Linda Daumen; 2 brothers and 11 sisters.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held Saturday February 28, 2015 from 3- 6 p.m. at the Sunbury VFW Post, 435 Rainbow Ave., Sunbury and arrangements are entrusted to the DeVore-Snyder Funeral Home, Sunbury.
