Millie M. Hursey Moore, age 97 of Kilbourne died Friday evening, March 21, 2008 at Bennington Glenn in Marengo following a brief illness.

She was born on January 3, 1911 in New Albany to the late Albert and Rosa Melinda (Dague) Hursey. A graduate of Johnstown Monroe High School in 1930, she moved to the Kilbourne area in 1947 from Westerville.

In addition to being a homemaker and assisting with the family farm, she had also worked the factories of Kilgore, Curtis Wright, and Ranco.

She has attended the Church of Christ in Delaware. A gardener of all types of vegetables, she enjoyed the outdoors as well as quilting and sewing. She will be remembered as a special grandmother who treasured her family.

Survived by daughter Rosa Almona (Daniel) Agriesti of Bradenton, Florida, son Charles “Ed” (Judy) Moore of Kilbourne, 3 Grandchildren: Joseph Agriesti, Rhonda Ayers, Mindy Moffatt, 5 Great-grandchildren: Daniel, Joshua, Wade, Travis, and Hunter.

Preceded in death by her husband of 45 years: Maurice Moore in 1982, Great-grandson Nick, Brothers: Forrest, Wheeler, Homer, Clair, and Herbert Hursey, Sisters: Oma Piper, Enid Crawford, and Louise Hursey.

Friends may call Tuesday 5-8 p.m. at the DeVore-Snyder Funeral Home, SR’s 3 at 61, Sunbury, where services will be held Wednesday 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Keith Ball officiating. Burial will follow in the Green Mound Cemetery.

Memorial contributions can be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.
