Mildred Weitzel, age 92, of Howard, Ohio, passed away on Thursday, March 17, 2011 at
the Ohio Eastern Star Home in Mount Vernon. She was born on December 4, 1918 in
Summerset, Ohio to the late Roy and Mabel (Baker) Snider. Mildred retired in 1983 from
Lorain Products. She was a member of the Apple Valley Singles Club, Sew and Sews Club of
Apple Valley and First Church of the Nazarene in Mount Vernon.
She is survived by her two sons, Phillip (Barbara) Bentz of Howard and Dennis
(Christina) Bentz of Chandler, Arizona, four grandchildren, six great grandchildren, a brother,
Cecil Dale (Maxine) Snider of Glenford, Ohio, two sisters, Verla Mae Gailez of Newark and
Wanda (Allen) Gildow of Newark.
Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her first husband, Edward Bentz, infant
daughter Bonnie Bentz, second husband, Leon Weitzel and a grandson, Franklin Bentz.
Friends may call on Wednesday, March 31, 2011 from 11 to 1 p.m. at the Flowers-
Snyder Funeral Home, 619 E. High Street, Mount Vernon, Ohio 43050. A funeral service will
be held on Friday, April 1, 2011 at 1 p.m. at the Garland-Misencik Funeral Home, 851 Park
Ave., Amherst, Ohio where friends may call two hours prior. Burial will follow in Birmingham
