MANSFIELD: Mildred O. Archer, age 95, of Mansfield passed away Saturday, April 9, 2011 in Crystal Care Center following a brief illness.

She was born December 23, 1915 in Ashland County the daughter of Harry and Mary (Morr) Rickett and was graduated from Polk High School in 1933.

On April 2, 1938 she married Ernest F. Archer, and the couple moved to Mansfield that year to make their home. Ernest preceded her in death in 1975.

Mildred worked at White Westinghouse for over 31 years, retiring in 1975.

She was a member of St. John’s United Methodist Church, and the Westinghouse Retirees.

Mildred enjoyed reading and word search puzzles. She was also a huge Cleveland Indians fan.

She is survived by a sister and brother-in-law Gladys and Roger Iceman of Ashland, many nieces and nephews including two special nieces Sue Wolff of Butler, and Janie McNeely of Lucas, as well as many great nieces and nephews including a special great niece Michelle Weirich of Mansfield, and great great nieces and nephews.

In addition to her husband, Mildred was preceded in death by four brothers Wilson, George, Robert and Frank Rickett; and two sisters Ida Austen and Lucille Foster.

A graveside service will be held Friday, April 22, 2011 at 10:30 a.m. in Mansfield Memorial Park. The Rev. Rick Wiseman will officiate.

Memorial contributions to Hospice of North Central Ohio may be made through the funeral home.
