Mildred Louise Schroeder

BELLVILLE: Mildred Louise Schroeder, age 85, formerly of Steam Corners Road, Lexington, died Thursday, August 23, 2001 in The Laurels of Mt. Vernon, following a long illness.
She was born November 3, 1915 in Bellville to Frank William and Idella (Stoffer) Gerhart, was graduated from Bellville High School with the class of 1933 and had been a lifelong area resident.
In her early years, Mildred worked at the Kroger store in Bellville. From 1954 to 1970 she owned and operated the V & M Restaurant with her husband Virgil and from 1970 to 1976 they owned and operated Tiffin & Toffee House Restaurant. She was a wonderful baker and was well known for her delicious pies.
Mrs. Schroeder was a charter member of Peoples Baptist Church.
She is survived by a daughter & son-in-law Diane I. & Gerald Gehrisch of Bellville; three sons and one daughter-in-law Gerald L. & Judy Schroeder of Knoxville, TN, Glenn R. Schroeder of Clearwater, FL and Wayne C. Schroeder of Lexington; seven grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Virgil L. Schroeder on Nov. 2, 1992; three brothers Ralph, Lyle and Dayle Gerhart; and three sisters Gladys Armstrong, Geneva Robinson and Mary Bowers.
Friends may call Sunday August 26, 2001 from 5 to 8 PM in the Bellville Snyder Funeral Home where the funeral service will be held Monday August 27 at 11 AM. The Rev. David Pound will officiate assisted by Mr. Art Conklin. Burial will follow in Bellville Cemetery.
