          Mildred L. “Micki” Daniels, 63, of Columbus formerly of Fredericktown died Wednesday, February 22, 2017 at the Kobacker House in Columbus surrounded by her family.  She was born February 1, 1954 in Mount Vernon to Betty (Cunningham) Daniels and the late Paul Daniels.

          Mildred graduated in 1972 from Fredericktown High School and after high school she attended and graduated from the Ohio State University.  She worked for over 35 years in the Agricultural Department at OSU and received many awards over the years.  Mildred was a thyroid cancer survivor and was asked by OSU to speak about experience with cancer on different occasions. She enjoyed sewing and taking her crafts to area shows. Mildred’s greatest pastime was spending time with family and her canine and feline companions, Max, Kiki, Sadie and Tobie.

           Mildred is survived by her husband, Gregory Foltz; daughters, Kelsey and Kayla Foltz of Columbus; granddaughter, Ava Taylor of Columbus; her mother, Betty of Fredericktown; sister, Shawna (Jay) Humes of Mount Vernon; brothers, Steve (Carla) Daniels of Butler, Scott (Penny) Daniels of Mount Vernon, Kevin (Linda) Daniels of Fredericktown, Chris (Laura) Daniels of Butler and Kelly Daniels of Fredericktown; and many nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews.

          In addition to her father, Paul, Mildred was preceded in death by her mother-in-law, Wanda Foltz.

          The family will receive friends from Noon until the time of a funeral service at 2 p.m. on Saturday, February 25, 2017 at the Flowers-Snyder Funeral Home, 619 East High St., Mount Vernon with Pastor Marvin Haught.  A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, February 27, 2017 at Mount Vernon Memorial Gardens.

          In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donation be made to the James Cancer Hospital, 460 W 10th Ave, Columbus, OH 43210.

  • The four of us, Mildred, Debbie, Karol and I formed a bond as we all worked at OSU and just enjoyed each others company by going out to lunch or dinner and visiting each others homes. What good times we had in the early 80s and Mildred was so much fun always soft spoken and ready for more fun and food. I remember her ready smile and twinkle in her eyes. She will always remain in my heart and I send my love to her family. Remember all your good times with her and God bless you in your time of sadness.
