Mildred E. Van Aman

Mildred Eileen Van Aman, age 88, of Columbus, formerly of Mount Vernon, died June 14, 2008, at the Whetstone Care Center in Columbus. Mildred was born April 16, 1920, at Danville, Ohio and raised by Marion and Isabelle Kile. She was a graduate of Mount Vernon High School and had spent most of her lifetime in the Mount Vernon area. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Mount Vernon.

Surviving are her sons George C. (Jane) Van Aman, Jr. of Findlay and Dr. Michael E. (Linda) Van Aman of Columbus; grandchildren George C. (Angela) Van Aman III of Savannah, Traci (Bobby) Green of Cincinnati, Gregory Van Aman of Findlay, Dr. Scott (Debra) Van Aman of Columbus and Christy Burt (Dustin Matthew) of Worthington; great-grandsons Charles Van Aman and Jackson Van Aman; and sister-in-law Carolyn Crumrine of Maine.

Besides her parents, Mildred was preceded in death by her husband George C. “Charlie” Van Aman, Sr.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, October 4, 2008, at the First Presbyterian Church 102 North Gay Street, Mount Vernon, Ohio 43050, with Rev. Jonathan Fettig officiating. The family will receive friends thirty minutes prior to the service.
