Mildred E. Fisher, age 83, formerly of Fredericktown, died 12:30 PM, Thursday November 9, 2006 at the Coshocton County Memorial Hospital in Coshocton, Ohio. Mildred was born December 5, 1922 at Mansfield, a daughter of the late Fred C. and Martha (Stutz) Hall. She and her husband Jim moved to Fredericktown in 1957 where they owned and operated J. M. Fisher Jewelers until Jim’s death on March 21, 1969. Mildred had also worked at Ritchey’s Cardinal Market in Fredericktown.
She was a member of the Fredericktown United Methodist Church. Mildred especially enjoyed cooking and reading and a highlight of her life was a trip to the Holy Land and taking care of her family. The light of Mildred’s life was her children and grandchildren.
Surviving are her son and daughter-in-law Gregory A. and Kathy (Johnson) Fisher of Coshocton; her daughter and son-in-law Martha Ann and Phil Lehman of Elkhart, Indiana; her son-in-law Jacque DeChant of Fredericktown; grandchildren J.T. (Leslie) DeChant, Stacy (Fisher) Travis Timmons, Alison Fisher, Josh and Julia Fisher, and Holly Lehman; four great grandchildren Mason, Logan, Colvin, and Kale; two step great grandchildren Samantha and Seth and two brothers Jack Hall of Mansfield and Elwood (Betty) Hall of Avon Lake. Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her husband James Murray Fisher, her daughter Marsha Kay DeChant, a brother and a sister.
Friends may call Monday November 13, 2006 from 5 PM to 8 PM and one hour before the funeral at the Snyder Funeral Home in Fredericktown. Funeral services will be Tuesday November 14, 2006 at 11 AM at the funeral home with Rev. Larry Draper officiating. Burial will follow at Forest Cemetery in Fredericktown.
