Mildred DeVaughn, age 83, of Columbus, passed away early Sunday, July 9, 2006 at Outlook Manor in Westerville.
Born in Gallia County on October 2, 1922, daughter of the late Luther and Lutie B. (George) Daniels. A graduate of Sunbury High School, she was very proud of the associate’s degree she earned from The Franklin University. Private in nature, she was liked by all.
She worked as a bookkeeper for the Columbus Paper Box, was a closing real estate agent for Kent Realtors, Calhoun Co. Realtors, Better Homes & Garden Realtors, and worked with Cleveland Flowers. Mildred had attended the Oakland Park Methodist Church and was a member of the American Business Women’s Association.
Loving mother and grandmother to Daughter; Linda (Chris) Murray of Columbus, Son; Doug (Darlene) DeVaughn of Delaware, Grandchildren; Eric, Kristen DeVaughn, Brian (Angela) Murray, and Great-granddaughter: Alexandrea Murray
She was preceded in death by her husband of 32 years: Fred in 1977, Brothers; Donald and Murl Daniels, Sisters; Alma Case and Nola Cooke.
Friends may call Tuesday from 2 – 4 & 6 – 8 p.m. at the DeVore-Snyder Funeral Home, 75 W. William St. (SR 36), Delaware. Graveside funeral services will be held Wednesday 1:00 p.m. at Oak Grove Cemetery in Delaware.
