He was born on June 6, 1952, to the late Roy C. Hollingsworth and Ruth E. Richey. Mike graduated from Mount Gilead High School with the class of 1971. He later went on to obtain a few courses from the Ohio State University.

For 30 years, Mike worked for Pepsi in Mansfield. He started as a driver and worked his way up to Warehouse Inventory Manager by the time he retired. In additional to working at Pepsi, Mike also worked at Auto Zone in Marion for 19 years where he served as a manager, and well into his retirement.

Mike’s life motto was “Live, Love, Laugh” and truly exemplified that motto daily. Full of life, Mike loved to be on the go! He would shoot pool with any family and friends willing to play. A car guy, Mike enjoyed showing off his ’87 Hurst Olds and attended many car shows. He also enjoyed riding his motorcycle. One of his favorite hangouts was the OK café in Marion where he made numerous friends over the years. On the weekends, Mike could be found rooting his Buckeyes onto victory. Full of love, Mike gave the best hugs. Mike had a smile that lit up the room matched with a grin that left you realizing he was up to something ornery. Lastly his laugh was just as unique as his personality. To hear Mike laugh was to know he was following his life motto of Live, Love, Laugh.
