Michael “Mike” V. Webb, age 58 of Sunbury, passed away Friday evening October 30, 2015 at St. Ann’s Hospital in Westerville.

He was born on November 1, 1956 in Columbus to Harold Webb and the late Christine (Evans) Webb. He was a 1975 graduate of Big Walnut High School and was a newspaper carrier for The Columbus Dispatch.

Mike loved animals and made it a practice to take in strays that came to his door along with his own dogs, cats and birds.

He is survived by his father: Harold Webb of Sunbury; sister: Susan (Kevin) Kretschmer of Powell; brother: Roger of Sunbury; niece: Andrea Kretschmer.

He is preceded in death by his mother: Christine Evans Webb on August 24, 2005; brothers: Daniel Webb on April 4, 2012, Stephen Webb.

Friends may call one hour prior to the 12 p.m. service on Thursday at the DeVore-Snyder Funeral Home SR 3 at 61, Sunbury with Pastor Jim Young officiating. Inurnment will follow in the Greenhill Cemetery, Johnstown.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to the Humane Society of Delaware County, 4920 State Route 37 E., Delaware, Ohio 43015.
