    • Lisa and Don:
Mere words cannot tell you how sad I am to hear of Michael’s death. He was a very special young man. On behalf of Mary, Jimmy, Sarah and Christie, I want to extend you to our deepest condolences and heartfelt prayers.

  • Don’t grieve for me, for now I’m free,
I’m following the path God laid for me,
I took his hand when I heard him call.

I could not stay another day,
To laugh, to love, to work, or play.
Tasks left undone must stay that way.

If my parting leaves a void,
Then fill it with remembered joy,
    A friendship shared, a laugh, a kiss,
Ah, yes, these things I too will miss.

Be not burdened with times of sorrow,
I wish you the sunshine of tomorrow,
My life’s been full, I savored much,
Good friends, good times, loyal family, a loved one’s touch.

Perhaps my time seemed all too brief.
Don’t lengthen it now with undue grief.
I’ve made a donation of life to several in need,
God wanted me now, He set me free.

Adapted from “I’m Free” to honor a gentle soul who will be missed by all who knew and loved him.

  • Sons
Before you were born God knew you
Before you were born we were anxious to know you
When you were born we grew even more to adore you.
When you started to grow in your baby steps we were so
careful and afraid at the same time
We wanted you to be healthy and strong and you were
We watched you in your new world and let you learn from it
We are so proud of the man you have become
We packed our fears inside and let you blossom
We secretly worried and prayed alot since that is our job
Today we have had to part so suddenly that we are holding
onto the love you so freely gave us
Please rest in Jesus’ arms because He loved you first
No goodbyes will heal our hearts but we are filled with so many
    thoughts and memories
So proud to call you “our only son”
We will see you again and that gives us hope
We will never forget you and we will find peace.

  • Dearest Lisa, my beautiful friend and colleague, and to all your family that were such an instrumental and special part of Mike’s life …

My heart for you, is breaking. We always spoke about living life to its fullest and loving each day; taking the opportunity to share this love by showing and telling those we loved, so they never had to wonder, should we not have the opportunity to do or say again. As a mother to Mike, you were a shining example of this … forever showering him with warmth, generosity, love and support. He knew, each and every day, how very much you loved him. I hope that in some small way, this will comfort you and bring some peace. You were both so blessed that God gave him you, and you, him.

I will always remember the joy of meeting Mike and how excited you were to have him share some time together with us. One day, as wih you, I, too, will embrace him, when we are all together again. For now, take your quiet moments to remember and to smile at the 33 years of memories and quality, loving times, as Mother and Son. They will last your lifetime … and beyond.

Sending you my love and prayers,

    Michele Burles
