Michael Lloyd Shoaf, age 48 of Delaware died unexpectedly at home Wednesday, November 11, 2009.

He was born on May 9, 1961 in Delaware to Lloyd “Buck” and Sharlene (Jackson) Shoaf of Radnor. Mike was a graduate of Buckeye Valley High School in 1979 and attended the Otterbein University. He lived the majority of his life in Delaware, with the exception of a brief time spent in Texas, where he worked in the construction trade. Mike was currently employed at Oakland Nursery in Delaware.

Artistic, he enjoyed music and played the saxophone. Kind and loving, he was tender hearted. Creative minded, he endeared animals, especially his cat, fish, and pet parakeet.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by siblings: Denise (Steve) Douglas of Radnor, Ronald R. (Lourdes) Shoaf of Round Rock, TX, Larry A. (Pam) Shoaf of Pataskala, 2 nieces, 2 nephews, step-grandmother: Carman Jackson of Florida, and co-working friends.

Memorial services will be held 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, December 2, 2009 at Troy Chapel Church, 4269 US 23 N, Delaware, OH 43015. DeVore-Snyder Funeral Home in Delaware is honored to serve the family of Michael Shoaf.
