Michael J. Miller, 57, of Galion, died Saturday, July 26, 2008 at Rosewood Manor Nursing Center in Galion after a short illness.
Born Aug. 7, 1950 in Galion, he was the son of the late Walter E. Miller, Jr. and Mary C. Fox Miller.
Mike was a graduate of Galion High School in 1968 and was a U. S. Air Force veteran serving in Vietnam during 1969- 1972. He was a past president and lifetime member of the American Legion Scarbrough Post 243. Mike was a car enthusiast and an avid Jeopardy watcher. He loved to read and complete puzzles. Mike worked for American Wire in Bucyrus and was a caregiver to his younger brother Johnny.
Surviving are one daughter and son-in-law, Michelle and Kirk Lively of Wichita, Ks.; two sons, Eddie Miller of Wichita, Ks. and Walter Miller of Crestline; four grandchildren; two brothers and a sister-in-law, Rusty and Joyce Miller of Galion and John Miller of Galion and a niece, Tina Nic Crim of Galion.
Memorial calling hours will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, July 29, 2008 at Richardson-Davis Funeral Home. A private graveside service will be held for the family with full military graveside honors conducted by the Galion/Crestline area veteran’s organizations and the U.S. Air Force.
