Michael E. Stroh

July 24, 1954 ‒ November 10, 2019

Lakeville, Ohio

LAKEVILLE: Michael E. went to be with the Lord Sunday evening, November 10, 2019, at his home. He was 65.

He was born July 24, 1954, in Mansfield to parents Roy & Faith (Emery) Stroh. Michael graduated from Loudonville High School with the class of 1972 and went on to work at Flxible Co. for 23 years until the company closed. He married the love of his life Anita Smith on March 11, 1982, and the pair were happily married for 37 years.

Michael went on to work as a Furnace Technician for Studer Heating and Cooling for over 12 years until starting his own business, Star Home Services. Still to this day he has fixed anything and everything for his community and the surrounding.

Michael could repair, restore, and maintain almost anything. He was always lending a hand to those in need, and making sure everyone he cared for was well taken care of. Michael had a way of always finding something he possessed to help another, even if it meant storing it in his barn for years, he knew everything would eventually have a purpose.

Michael was a devoted member of the Nashville Church of Christ. He served as a board member and was pivotal in the daily operations of the church. He not only dedicated his time but also his trade to the church knowing that was what Jesus Christ put him on this earth to do. Michael was truly a genuine, compassionate, loving man who would give the shirt off his back to anyone and he will be missed greatly by those who love him.

He is survived by his loving wife Anita Stroh; his children Angela (Brian) Jones, Michelle (Keith) Taggart, Brandon (Charlotte) Stroh, and Brittany (John) Klingelhoefer; 8 grandchildren; 6 step-grandchildren; his mother Faith Dye; his sisters Tina Anatra and Judy Burson; and aside from his biological children Michael was a father figure to many others throughout the years.

In addition to his father, Michael was preceded in death by his brothers Richard Stroh and Dan Stroh.

A memorial service honoring Michael’s life will be held Saturday, November 16, 2019, at the Nashville Church of Christ, 13457 St. Rt. 39, Big Prairie, Ohio at 11 a.m. Dennis Day will speak.

Contributions in Michael’s memory to the Nashville Church of Christ may be made at the church.
