Michael Everett Abrams, age 54, of Marion, died unexpectedly Thursday, January 21, 2021 after injuries sustained from an automobile accident.

Mike was born in Marion, Ohio on December 20, 1966 to William Everett and Thelma May (Stapleton) Abrams. He worked for many years at Silver Line Industries, Galion Hospital, and most recently Sims Brothers.

Mike loved to spend time with his family and friends. He also enjoyed watching sports, especially the OSU Buckeyes.

He will be missed by his mother, Thelma; daughter, Shontee Chalfant; grandchildren, Keira, Aiden, and Elliot Chalfant; siblings, David Abrams of Blacklick and Pam (Rocky) White of Marion; niece and nephew, Keri (Evan) Geyer and Cory (Taylor) White; best friends, Cherice Lemons, Rick and Chris Crawford; and canine companions, Blaze and Toby.

Mike was preceded in death by his father, Everett and brother-in-law, Bruce Tolbert.

Graveside services will be held 2 pm at Marion Cemetery on Wednesday, January 27, 2021 with Celebrant Galen McLeod officiating.

Donations may be made in Michaels honor to The Marion Area Humane Society.

  • Dear family of Mike-Mike worked with me @ Galion Community Hospital- he was quiet the character- he sure loved his dogs – I always told him mine was prettier- he would laugh & say – what ever u say ! He was entertaining with all his stories- we have all thought of Mike often- sorry for his tragic loss – Bless you all! ROXIE
