Marion, Ohio

Michael Calvin Gollihue, age 53, of Marion, passed away unexpectedly at his home on Saturday, February 29, 2020.

Michael was born on March 12, 1966 to Calvin Lee Gollihue and Roberta Ann Ross in Morehead, Kentucky. He lived there for a few months until they moved to Ohio. Michael graduated from Crestline High School. He joined the Navy shortly after graduation and was honorably discharged about a year and a half later.ย

He loved sports, and never missed a game of the Miami Dolphins or the Kentucky Wildcats. He enjoyed his work as a machinist at Wyandot, and had worked at Yachiyoโ€™s for ten years prior to his time at Wyandot. Michael also adored his daughter Emmah and devoted his life to her.

Surviving Michael are his daughter Emmah, sisters Kathi (Michael) Cannon and Jan (Jim) Augenstein, nieces Tabatha Ann Tesso, Kelly Rittenour, and Kora and Kari Augenstein.

Michael is preceded in death by his parents Calvin and Roberta Gollihue, infant brother Bobby Gollihue, and great nephew Austin Lewis Eber.

Visitation will take place at the Snyder Funeral Homes, DENZER Chapel, 360 East Center Street, Marion, on Saturday, March 7, 2020 from 10 AM until 12 PM. A celebration of life service will follow at 12 PM; burial will follow in Waldo Cemetery.
