Michael A. Mosher Sr., age 57 of Cardington passed away Monday, November 4, 2013 at Riverside Methodist Hospital.
Born on October 18, 1956 in Mt. Gilead, he was a graduate of Mt. Gilead High School in 1975. Coached by the “Bear”, he was a proud member of the football team. He also earned a bachelor’s degree in mathematics from Defiance College.
For 29 years he worked as a senior telecommunications analyst with PNC Bank. A member of The Light of the Living Christ Church in Gahanna. He was an avid bowler with a passion for antiquing; vacations were planned near auction houses and flea markets. He enjoyed a keen sense of direction, especially the roads and by-ways of Columbus.
Quite the prankster, he was well known for his sense of humor and warm smile. Serious when need be, he possessed an amazing work ethic. Mike was also the consummate provider. The needs of his family always came before his own. Whatever the task he was passionate about it, especially anything involving his children and family. He was a cherished husband and father, who will be remembered for his gift of laughter.
He is survived by his wife of 28 years Carol (Grabiel), children Valerie (Dustin) Messmer of Marengo, Michael Mosher Jr. of Cardington, mother Geraldine “Gerry” Halt Mosher of Mt. Gilead, father and step-mother Alfred “Al” and Ruth Mosher of Mansfield, sister Jennifer (Rudy) Francis of Columbus, nephew Jason (Lauren) Lenhart of Nashville, TN, and beloved Shih Tzu buddy Louie.
Friends may call 4-7 p.m. Thursday at the DeVore-Snyder Funeral Home, St Rt’s 3 at 61, Sunbury where services will be held 10:00 a.m. Friday. Burial will follow in Glendale Cemetery near Cardington.
