Maxine M. Jennings, 95, of Phoenix, Arizona, and formerly of South Mill Street, Lexington, died Monday evening August 23, 2004 in Kivel Care Center, Phoenix.

She was born November 2, 1908 in Wabash to Ellsworth and Ruth (Tilton) Bourell, and spent most of her life in the Mansfield area, before moving to Arizona twenty years ago.

Maxine had worked as a beautician at several area salons, and just prior to her retirement, she was an instructor with the former Mansfield Beauty College.

She was a member of Main Street United Methodist Church, Mansfield, and was always creative through arts and crafts.

She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law Patricia and Don Lehman of Scottsdale, Arizona; and two grandchildren Carlton Lehman of Helena, Montana and Rebecca and her husband Timothy Flynn also of Scottsdale.

She was preceded in death by her husband Nile Victor Jennings on March 15, 1976; her sister Helen Thatcher, and her brother Russell Bourell.

A graveside service will be held Saturday, August 28, 2004 at 11 am in Lexington Cemetery. The Rev. Allen Rose will officiate. The Lexington Avenue Snyder Funeral Home is in charge of funeral arrangements.
