Mary Uehling, 86, of Mansfield died at home on Wednesday, March 15, 2017.

Mary was born in Evanston, Illinois, December 4, 1930 to Theodore and Elizabeth Uehling. She graduated from Hathaway Brown School, Cleveland, Ohio; attended Skidmore College, Saratoga Springs, New York and graduated with a B.S. in Human Resources from Ohio State University.

Mary worked for U.S. Steel in Cleveland before coming to Mansfield. In Mansfield she was active as a deaconess with First Congregational Church, and a member of the Wednesday Study Club, Pleasant Valley Garden Club (served as President), and the Mansfield Art Center. She was an honorary member of Mansfield General Hospital’s Auxiliary, and a contributor to Kingwood Center and the Mansfield Symphony.

Mary is survived by her husband Edward T. Loughridge; daughter Dana (Roderick) Brown of Chantilly, Virginia; son William E. (Julie) Loughridge of North Richland Hills, Texas; five grandchildren and brother David T. (Louise) Uehling of Beaufort, South Carolina.

A private memorial service will be held in Mansfield Cemetery at a later date.
