Mary Louise Yeager

Mary Louise Yeager, age 82, of Gambier died on Sunday evening, January 24, 2010 in the emergency room at Knox Community Hospital, after a long battle with heart disease. She was born on July 21, 1927 in the former Mercy Hospital in Mount Vernon, the daughter of the late Harry J. and Dorothy M. (McMahon) Yeager.
Mary had worked for Cooper Bessemer in Mount Vernon and retired from the former American National Can in Mount Vernon. She was Methodist by faith. Mary enjoyed taking care of the family homestead in Gambier.
Mary is survived by her sister, Jane Yeager of Gambier; her brother, James (Martha) Yeager of Mount Vernon; nephews, David (Bonnie) Yeager of Howard and Michael (Judy) Yeager of Athens; a niece, Laura D. Williams of Columbus; 5 great nephews and 2 great nieces; and her feline companions, especially Susie.
The family will receive friends from 11 a.m. until time of the funeral service at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, January 27, 2010 at the Dowds-Snyder Funeral Home, 201 Newark Rd., Mount Vernon. Pastor Dave Jones will officiate. Burial will follow in the Oak Grove Cemetery in Gambier.
