Mary Kathryn “Kate” Camp, age 85, of West First Street, Fredericktown, passed away in her sleep at home on Friday, October 21, 2011.

She was born on November 15, 1925 in Nelsonville, Ohio to the late Amos and Hannah (Lent) Lehman. Kate was the Treasurer of the Fredericktown Schools Board of Education for over 15 years.

She is survived by two daughters, Deb Gallardo of Fredericktown and Sherida Sue Elliott of Tucson, Arizona; her granddaughter Rebekah Gallardo of California, Maryland; two step great-grandchildren of Aurora, Colorado; her sister Ruth Smith of Fort Myers, Florida; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Besides her parents, Kate was preceded in death by her husband Floyd Camp; two sisters, Naomi Gastin and Edith Taylor; and two brothers, Meredith and Clyde Lehman.

Friends may call on Thursday, October 27, 2011 at the Snyder Funeral Home in Fredericktown from 5 – 7 PM. A service will be held on Friday, at the funeral home, beginning at 11 AM with Rev. Dr. Gary Campbell officiating. Burial will follow at Forest Cemetery in Fredericktown.
