Delaware, Ohio
Formerly of Elyria, Ohio

Mary Jo Todd, age 72 of Delaware passed away Thursday, September 26, 2019 at Grady Memorial Hospital in Delaware following a brief illness, surrounded by those who she loved most.

She was born on April 17, 1947 in Elyria, Ohio to the late Rocco and Cecelia (Szczepanski) Trombetta. She was a graduate of Elyria Catholic High School in 1965. She went on to Lorain Community College and taught Head Start. Mary worked at Ohio Wesleyan University in food service and retired from CVS where she worked as a photo lab supervisor.

First and foremost a homemaker, her life centered on her family and the activities of her home.  She was not a joiner, but attended The Gathering Place in Marion and bowled in the Saturday night community league.

She enjoyed game shows, flowers, and working puzzles. Mary possessed a strong work ethic and many generous, caring, loving, and thoughtful qualities. She also had a humorous side and was a natural jokester.

She treasured time spent with her friends, family, and especially her grandchildren. Mary was happiest with her family, her daughter perhaps described her best “She was so wonderful and it’s hard to put on paper”.

Those left to cherish her memory include her beloved husband and partner of 48 years Donnie Todd, children: Dawn Lowery of Delaware, Jeff (Anna) Cook of Mansfield, Christopher Cook of Delaware, Brandy (AJ) Brown of Delaware, Sonya and Dawn Todd both of Cadiz, 15 grandchildren, several great-grandchildren, sisters: Nancy (William) Pierson of Lorain, Rosemary (Keith) Wrigglesworth of York, England.

In addition to her parents she was also preceded in death by her brother and sister Joe and Antonette Trombetta.
