Mary “Jayne” Worline, age 89, of Mount Gilead, passed away Sunday morning, September 22, 2019 at her home surrounded by her immediate family.

Jayne was born on April 19, 1930, in Fulton, OH, to the late Wilbur B. and Hazel M (Penn) Patterson. She Graduated from Edison High School with the class of 1948. On December 18, 1948, Jayne married her high school sweetheart, Norman Worline, in Greenup, KY. They lovingly shared nearly 71 years.

Her greatest passions were trust and faith in the Lord each day and an abundant devotion to her family. She was an excellent cook and baker. Jayne and her sister Martha served donuts and coffee every Wednesday at Woodside Village Nursing Center for over 20 years. She was a member of the Edison United Methodist Church. Jayne was also a member of the White Shrine and order of the Eastern Star.

Left to cherish her memory includes her husband, Norman; daughter, Cathy (Sid) Pinyerd; nieces and nephews: Tom Hildebrand, Don (Brenda) Brown, Marty (Paul) Dobsz, Don Patterson, Deb (Rich) Posthuma, Candy (Mark) Messmer, George (Joan) Patterson, Mike (Chris) Macgregor.

Jayne was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Donald Patterson; sisters: Iris Jean Macgregor, Virginia Brown, and Martha Hildebrand; and nephew, Terry Hildebrand.

Per Jayne’s wishes, no calling hours will be observed. A graveside service at Rivercliff Cemetery will be held on Wednesday, September 25, 2019 at 1 PM with Pastor Stephan Bloomfield officiating.

Following the service family and friends are invited to gather for sharing of memories and fellowship at the Edison United Methodist Church.

If desired, memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Morrow County or Edison United Methodist Church.
