Mary Ellen Main, age 86 of Sunbury died unexpectedly Tuesday, December 3, 2002 at St. Ann’s Hospital, Westerville.

She was born on March 15, 1916 in Sunbury to the late Webb C. and Ella M. Kempton Matthews. Graduate of Sunbury High School Class of 1934. She was a homemaker and assisted her husband with the operation of Main Trucking for 49 years. She enjoyed the family cottage for 40 years in the West Harbor area of Lake Erie and was a member of Vans Valley Community Church.

Survived by her husband of almost 65 years: Charles A. Main, Daughters: Peg (Jim) Parker of Lancaster, Mary Lou (Don) Debolt of Bradenton, FL, Son: David (Deb) Main of Round Rock, TX, 8 Grandchildren: Jon Parker, Lancaster; Andrew Parker, Toledo; Wendy

Johnson, Andover, MN; Jody Bourassa, Baldwinville MA; Scott DeBolt,

Westerville, OH;Chad & Mark Main ,Round Rock TX and Todd Main, Dayton OH.. 8 Great-grandchildren

Preceded in death by Brother: Edward K. Matthews, Sisters: Ethel Plunkett, Alice Pendleton, Florence Fisher.

Friends may call Friday 5-8 pm at DeVore-Snyder Funeral Home, SR 3 at 61, Sunbury, where funeral services will be held Saturday 10:30 a.m., Rev. Harold Holmes officiating. Burial will follow in Sunbury Memorial Park.
