MANSFIELD: Mary Ellen “Dolly” Fisher, 75, of Sunnyslope Drive, Mansfield, died Monday, October 20, 2003 in the emergency room of MedCentral Mansfield Hospital following a sudden illness.
She was born January 15, 1928 in Butler to Everett and Louise Divelbiss Reel, attended Lexington High School, and remained a lifelong Richland County resident.
Dolly worked 35 years as a bookkeeper, retiring in 1986 from Mansfield Hardware.
An avid bowler, at one time, she was active and enjoyed boating.
Dolly was an ardent fan of both the Cleveland Browns and Indians, but unlike professional sports, the season never set on the passion for her “Favorite Man” Tom Jones, with whom she would metaphorically dance each day.
She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law Ronald R. and Lynda Fisher of Bellville; her daughter and son-in-law Judi and Brad Konves of Somerset, Kentucky; grandchildren Jim and Patty Fisher of Disputana, Virginia, Jeff and Edna Fisher of Mansfield, Jason and Lisa Fisher of Hardy, Arkansas, and Shane Konves of Nashville, Tennessee; great granddaughters Candace and Callie Fisher; two sisters and brothers-in-law Frances and Foster Laribee of Crestline and Lillian and Edward Harpster of Lexington; and two sisters-in-law Tillie Taylor of Frostproof, Florida and Melba Reel of Lake Forest, California; a cherished caregiver and friend Ron Kidwell of Lexington; and numerous dear neighbors and friends.
She was preceded in death by a sister Virginia Daugherty and two brothers Harold Reel and Nelson Reel.
The family will receive friends today Wednesday, October 22, 2003 from 5-7 pm in the Lexington Avenue Snyder Funeral Home. A graveside funeral service will be held Thursday at 11 am in Lexington Cemetery, with Pastor Randall Collins officiating.
